What's Included in a Life Plan Community?

A Life Care agreement at The Waterford is designed to be as dynamic as your life, covering a wide spectrum of health services to meet evolving needs. Residents here enjoy access to exceptional healthcare services, with even more specialized support on the horizon as part of our community's significant expansion.

Services covered under your agreement include:

  • Skilled Nursing: 24-hour medical attention and support from licensed professionals in a compassionate residential setting.
  • Rehabilitation: Access to physical, occupational, and speech therapies designed to help you recover strength and independence following an illness or injury.
  • Assisted Living (Coming Soon): As part of our community expansion, we will soon offer dedicated support for daily activities, blending independence with personalized assistance.
  • Memory Care (Coming Soon): Our upcoming expansion will also introduce specialized programming and secure environments designed for those navigating memory loss.

How Does a Life Plan Community Differ From a Rental Community?

The fundamental difference between a Life Plan Community and standard rental community lies in the promise of future care. Most rental communities are designed strictly for residence only; rarely do they include access to healthcare services, and on the few occasions that they do, those services come at a premium cost that often matches the higher end of market rates.

Should your health needs change while living in a rental community, the financial burden falls entirely on the shoulders of you or your family. Additionally, since these supportive services are not always available on-site, residents requiring care often find that they need to move away from the place they chose to call home in their greatest time of need.

At a Life Plan Community such as The Waterford, however, the narrative is different. As a resident here, you secure yourself guaranteed access to high-quality care. You go to bed at night knowing you’ll be taken care of by a team of professionals you’re already familiar with, and, best of all, that you’ll be paying substantially less than market rates for that care.
